An investigation by federal and state regulators of "free lunch" investment seminars aimed at seniors has found high-pressure sales pitches masquerading as educational sessions, pervasive misleading claims for unsuitable financial products, and even fraud.

IRS OKs Changes to 403(b) Plans
NEW YORK (AP) - Teachers, health-care professionals, museum curators and others who work for nonprofit employers will soon see changes in their retirement plans. The IRS in July approved the first major overhaul of 403(b) plans in more than four decades, with the aim of giving employers more oversight of the savings programs.

Gas Station Owners Allege Price Fixing
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Nearly two dozen gas station owners in California sued Shell Oil Co., Chevron Corp. and Saudi Refining Inc., on Tuesday, claiming the companies conspired to fix prices for 23,000 franchise owners nationwide.
