What $1 Million Will Buy
Find out what a million bucks can buy you now in real estate markets across the U.S.
What kind of house can you expect to buy for $1 million where you live? We went in search of $1-million homes on the market across the U.S., from South Carolina to Connecticut to California and Hawaii. What we found: Six figures appears to go further in many places than it did a few years ago. Although there remain pockets of appreciation here and there, prices in other areas could continue to fall.
Of course, you still get more for your money in midsize and small cities than you can in large metro areas. Check out our slide show to see what a million bucks can buy now.
