Several businesses including some popular restaurant chains will be offering freebies, deals and sweepstakes for moms on or around Mother’s Day, May 11. So if you plan to do something nice for your mom but wouldn't mind saving some cash in the process, you might want to consider taking advantage of one of these offers. If none of the meal deals below appeals to you or your mom, check your favorite restaurant’s Web site or Facebook page to see if it is offering a Mother's Day promotion.
Boston Market is giving moms a free meal on May 11 with the purchase of any individual meal of equal or greater value. There are more than 450 Boston Market restaurants nationwide.
California Pizza Kitchen has a Mother’s Day sweepstakes you can enter by “liking” its Facebook page and uploading a photo of your mom for a chance to win one of four $1,000 gift cards. You can also enter through Twitter and Instagram by using the hashtag #CPKMom. The $1,000 winners will be selected May 18. Two winners also will be selected May 9 and May 16 for $100 gift cards. California Pizza Kitchen has locations in more than 30 states.

Champps Americana will give any mom who is a member of its MVP League and uses her membership card May 9 through May 11 a $10 off a $30 purchase reward loaded to her card every month. Champps has more than 50 locations nationwide.
Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar will give mothers who make a reservation and dine at its locations for Mother’s Day brunch a $25 gift card for a future visit. The gift card must be redeemed by June 30. Mother's Day brunch costs $39.95 per person. Fleming's has restaurants in 28 states.
McCormick & Schmick's is giving moms a complimentary chocolate-covered strawberry with brunch on Mother's Day. The restaurant chain operates locations in 24 states.
Museums and gardens. Admission to many public gardens across the country is free on National Public Gardens Day May 9 -- and through Mother’s Day weekend. For example, Bonnet House Museum & Gardens in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., is offering free admission to moms on May 11 with one full-paid admission. Search for gardens near you to see if any have special offers for Mother’s Day.

Redbox has a Mother’s Day special offer that lets you receive 50 cents off a second movie or game through May 11 if you rent one movie or game at the regular price. The special offer applies to select titles.
Shoney's is giving moms a free slice of strawberry pie May 11 with the purchase of a buffet or entree. Shoney's has locations in 16 states.
Snapfish has printable cards, breakfast-in-bed menus, origami flowers and party banners for Mother’s Day that you can download for free.
Spaghetti Warehouse is offering moms who dine in its restaurants on May 11 a complimentary lasagna on their next visit. See participating locations. Spaghetti Warehouse operates in seven states.
Texas Roadhouse has a Mom’s Day Getaway sweepstakes for a three-night stay at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa in Phoenix, roundtrip airfare for two and a $500 spa certificate. Sweepstakes ends May 12. You can enter through the Texas Roadhouse Facebook or Pinterest page, or enter through an alternate site.
