3 Simple Steps to Get Free Shipping
Follow these tips to save money on holiday purchases.
Step 1
Go to FreeShipping.org and search for items you want among the 4,000-plus merchants who offer free shipping and discounts through the site.
Step 2
Use a price-comparison site, such as Amazon.com or PriceGrabber.com, to see whether another retailer offers a similar item at a lower price. You may come out ahead even if you have to pay for shipping.
Step 3
If you’re still shopping on December 18, go to FreeShippingDay.com, which lists retailers that offer free shipping with no minimum order and guaranteed delivery in the contiguous U.S. by Christmas Eve, along with other discounts. More than 1,000 merchants are expected to participate. Look for the feature called “staff favorites” to see which merchants offer the best discounts in addition to free shipping. Shopping on your smart phone? A mobile version of the site will also be available.
