Father's Day Gift Advice From Around the Web

Tips from personal finance bloggers about how to honor Dad on his special day.

It seems we aren't willing to open our wallets as wide for Dad as we are for Mom. A National Retail Federation survey found that Americans are expected to spend an average of $113 on Father's Day gifts this year -- versus $163 for Mother's Day. In fact, Father's Day is the smallest of the gift-giving holidays, according to NRF. So what gives?

Perhaps we spend less on gifts for Dad because we keep in mind all the money lessons he's taught us (such as these tips spelled out by Vera Gibbons on Mint Life). Or maybe too many of us just resort to buying Dad a tie. Whether you want to honor your father on his special day -- June 15 -- by adhering to his frugal advice or just need a gift idea that won't break your budget, here are several ideas from some of our favorite personal finance bloggers.
