'Tis the season for holiday shopping. Big-name retailers including Amazon, Target and Walmart have been enticing shoppers since early November with pre-Black Friday deals online. The National Retail Federation estimates that 75 million consumers will shop online during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, which includes Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Retailers will be offering lots of incentives to get shoppers to spend, from sitewide discounts to free gifts with certain purchases. Perhaps, the most coveted perk of all is free shipping -- with no strings attached. This means no minimum purchase amount or paid annual memberships.
