From a breakfast platter to a cup of Italian ice, you can score these tasty treats for free.
As March rolls in, that means spring -- and warmer temps – are just a couple of weeks away. Reward yourself for surviving winter’s chill with a free food or drink item this month. From breakfast to lunch, and even dessert, we’ve rounded up several edible deals that don’t require you to spend any money. Take a look:

Free sandwich. Score a free half spicy Asian pork sandwich and chips at Corner Bakery through Thursday, March 5 at participating locations. This freebie requires you to give up your email address at the restaurant chain’s website, but we think a free lunch is worth it. There’s a limited number of freebies per location, so act fast.

Free breakfast platter. What's better than a food freebie? A food freebie that you can share with a friend. On Saturday, March 7, IKEA, as part of its Bring Your Own Friends promotional event, is offering a free breakfast platter (scrambled eggs, turkey sausage and home fries) from store open until 11 a.m. No friend required. Customers must present this coupon in-store.
Free coffee. On Monday, March 9 and Monday, March 23, Xtramart convenience stores in the Mid-Atlantic and New England will be giving away a free cup of coffee -- any size -- to customers who become fans of their Facebook page. You’ll receive this coupon to present at participating locations to redeem this deal.
Free ice cream cone. To celebrate 75 years of business, Dairy Queen is thanking customers by offering a free small vanilla ice cream cone during normal store hours on Monday, March 16 at participating locations.
Free Italian ice. For the 23rd year in a row, Rita’s Italian Ice shops will be giving away a free cup of Italian Ice in a limited edition first day of spring cup on Friday, March 20 from noon to 9 p.m. at all of its locations nationwide.
