Jason Lambert is president, CEO and portfolio manager of Vancouver, Wash.-based Northwest Financial & Tax Solutions (www.nwfts.net). He is a firm believer in the importance of independence in financial planning, which allows an adviser to look out for the client's best interests. Jason is the co-host of "The Retirement Trailhead" radio show, which airs every weekend on Portland-area stations, and he hosts the "Peaks and Valleys" podcast. He holds a degree in finance from Auburn University.
