Nathan Sonnenberg, CFA, CAIA®

Nathan is the Chief Investment Officer for Pitcairn, a century-old wealth management firm for ultra-high-net-worth families. As a member of Pitcairn's leadership team, Nathan spearheads the advancement of the firm's investment platform. He oversees policies and processes for the active management of client portfolios including risk management guidelines for portfolio construction, selection methodologies and other tactical processes.

Prior to Pitcairn, Nathan founded an outsourced-CIO consultancy Wealth Management Consulting, LLC. Nathan served as the CEO for the business that helps independent advisors with investment strategy, portfolio implementation, manager selection, risk management, adviser support and client education. Before starting Wealth Management Consulting, Nathan was the Chief Investment Officer at Glassman Wealth Services, a multibillion RIA in the Washington, D.C., area. He previously served as Director of Investments for the D.C. regional office of Abbott Downing, serving ultra-high-net-worth families in the area.

Nathan was also Chief Investment Officer at Fortigent, LLC, a provider of outsourced investment research, technology and practice management solutions to RIAs and banks. Nathan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia. He holds designations as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA). He is an active member of the CFA Society of Washington, D.C.
