Steven L. Skancke is Chief Investment Officer and the Chief Economic Strategist for Keel Point, where he oversees asset allocation, portfolio construction and investment strategies to meet life, family, wealth and investment goals of Keel Point clients. He leads client asset allocation, investment policy and manager selection decisions. He also works directly with clients to develop and implement innovative investment strategies.

Previously, Steve served for 15 years in the United States government at the White House National Security Council, the U.S. Treasury Department and the White House Cabinet Council on Economic Affairs. He spent 24 years at G. William Miller & Co., a Washington D.C.-based private merchant-banking firm.

Steve is an adjunct professor of Economics and International Affairs at The George Washington University. He has a Ph.D. in Economics and is the co-author of two books: Competitiveness: An Executive’s Guide to Success, and Productivity: The American Advantage.
